Wow, what a night!
We had a really great discussion last night at the Flavor speaking about "What does Christian do?" We not only talked about what it is to be a Christian, but what then is our call to do from there...or is there anything we are supposed to do. Then we contrasted working in the world vs. being a full time minister. Basically the conclusion was that every Christian is a full time minister, just at a different location or with a different title. (i.e. Pastor John is a minister, but Breakfast Server Laura is a minister as well). Hmm, so this lead to talk of how we are to be aware that once we have accepted Christ, we are in full time ministry even if that is not our technical title.
Ok, so that was a basic synopsis. Then we went into our small groups. Only one person from my group was there. Now to some this would be a discouraging sign, but my heart was glad because I knew that the missing girls are actaully all around the world right now spreading Jesus to people who need Him. So, my one sister and I looked at each other and I said, "let's pray. Let's just go back and forth and pray for all the ladies who have come and gone and for our sister's who are around the world right now." It seemed as though I was reading her mind because...well...her response was something to the tune of, "exactly."
So, we did. It was so incredible. God is so amazing. Here we were in a little room in Beaverton, lying facedown, talking to God. It occurred to me that although we were there, God was everywhere, so even as our prayers were being spoken and recieved, God was with our girls in India, London, Australia, Salem, and everywhere inbetween. Yet He was there with us too! Wow!
Yeah, I don't really have anything else to say. It just was really cool to take time and pray.

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9 NIV)
