My s.brother's baby was born. A baby boy. His name is Dane Ashton. I am an aunt!!! I've never been an aunt before. From now on, I am going to be called Aunt Laura. Oh, I hope I am a good one!
I guess he was born last week, but no one remembered to tell me. I was talking to my dad on the phone tonight and he mentioned that Arlene (that's my step-mom) had been planning to come down from Montana when he was due (baby and parents live in Gresham), but since he was already born, she was going to have to wait to come down. It was then that I said "What? He's already arrived? When was someone going to share this news with me?"
Oh well, in the end, it's not about me. ;) Yay, I have a nephew!! Anybody have a prayer for him? I was thinking I would make up a little booklet of prayers for him and for his parents. His parents names are Kris and Kris and he has an older brother named Ryan.
Thanks everyone! God bless you!

Side note, should I be Aunt Laura or Auntie Laura, or should I go with something completely different. In Spanish I think Aunt is Tia...Tia Laura. Any suggestions?
Let your nephew decide what to call you. Right now you are Aunt Laura, but when he starts to speak Laura might be hard for him to say. However he pronounces your name will more than likely be what any subsequent nieces and nephews call you.
That sounds good. I used to be a sunday school helper and was called Lowa and Lowi. By the way, I got to meet him last week. He is so precious. If I get permission, I will put some pictures up
