Comfort

Psalm 121
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

Psalm 120
1 I call on the LORD in my distress,
and he answers me.

Psalm 130
1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD;
2 O Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
to my cry for mercy.
5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
6 My soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.

Psalm 131
3 ......put your hope in the LORD
both now and forevermore.

Psalm 138
1 I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; ...
3 When I called, you answered me;
you made me bold and stouthearted.

Psalm 141
1 O LORD, I call to you; come quickly to me.
Hear my voice when I call to you.
2 May my prayer be set before you like incense;
may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

Psalm 142
5 I cry to you, O LORD;
I say, "You are my refuge,
my portion in the land of the living."
6 Listen to my cry,
for I am in desperate need;...

Psalm 143
8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I lift up my soul.

Psalm 144
1 Praise be to the LORD my Rock...
2 He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.
3 O LORD, what is man that you care for him,
the son of man that you think of him?

Yes, Laura, in the Psalms you will always find strengthening for your soul. The Psalms are the heart of the Word of God, containing everything that can be found elsewhere, expressed in profound cries of the spirit.

When everyone has abandoned me, or so I feel, or when I cannot be with the one I love on earth, the Psalms bring me into the close embrace of the One who loves me from Heaven.

Life is relatively short, eternity long. Sometimes the flow of time also works to our benefit, because we are just not strong enough to look our lives in the face and see ourselves as we appear to Him, with the lens of time removed.

It's very hard to understand what exactly is going on right now. Pray for us all, sister, and we pray for you too. We're all sailing in the same ship on troubled seas.

Go with God.

I love you!
At the beginning of my whole...difficult life struggle time...I found that Psalm 116 pretty much summed up everything I was feeling...and then gave me a lot of comfort and hope.
Yeah, it's awesome.

Okay girl, I remember you in my prayers, and love you tons!
